A few months ago, after years of being politically active on the internet, I stopped exactly that. I did not enjoy being angry all the time and generally, afraid of life. I was calling myself a Christian but, I was not acting like one. I prayed to Jesus on how to resolve my fears and, slowly, He's been guiding me to a new purpose using my art and creativity. The mission is simple: Create beautiful scenery of Space and Wilderness and insert a piece of inspired Gospel on top of it; a very simple and yet satisfying ministry. 

So, I sanitized all of my activism from ALL of my social media, every hostile comment, every horrid judgement, every angry attack and began posting my Gospel Art instead while still creating Science Fiction and posting that as well. I no longer pay attention to politics or the social quagmire artificially generated by those whom hate us to divide us. I share instead, my love of Christ and my love of the Nature He created for us to enjoy. This is my first Volume of that.

Does this terrify me sharing it on my Portfolio and Patreon pages? Yes. But, if I don't do it, how can I say that I fully trust God?

PS: I understand if this drives some of you away and makes you uncomfortable. Although that is not my intent, I certainly understand if you do.

A Stellar Nursery from some far off galaxy perhaps.

It may not look it or it might even look a bit boring but, creating accurate nebulae that mimic nature is extremely tedious and difficult. Even though I've created a very technical generator, every nuance must still be considered. Lighting, cloud density/roughness, placement of stars, correct true color palette, translucency, all of it. Just this one took over a week of many renderings to adjust and get right. There is three layers of volume to create this cloud structure. The red interior followed by the blue layer and lastly, the off white layer. Each a different density. Read: Tons of Color Ramps and Math Nodes. 

I use the Astrobin site for real life reference. Just search "HaLRGB or just LRGB Nebula" and you will get true color nebula photos. They are not green or purple or the "Hubble Palette (SHO, Sulfer, Hydrogen, Oxygen)" in real life. NASA and some other astronomers augment the colors to see details and structure more easily so, don't be fooled. Nebulae are just basically, Red (Hydrogen Alpha or Ha), Blue (OIII or Oxygen) and sometimes a little Orange-Yellow (S2 or Sulfer). That's it.

Some of you may have noticed that I have removed all of my previous nebula attempts from my portfolio. That's because I had been paying attention to the release of Blender 5.0 and knew what it could potentially do with it's improved volumetrics. 

I created this nebula generator with Blender 2.79 in 2017 because I saw what Teun van der Zalm was doing. Since then, I've studied astrophotography with deep interest on the Astrobin Site trying as I might to create an accurate nebula to no avail. 

So, cut to today, here are some dusty, nebulous ghosts rendered accurately with the latest version of Blender. Much more to come.
